“James has an extensive and impressive background,” said Nelson Baker, dean of Georgia Tech Professional Education. “His knowledge will help us better serve members of the military, by creating programs and training that will directly benefit their career advancement and personal development.”

With more than 22 years of decorated military experience, Wilburn retired from the United States Army at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. “Georgia Tech is already designated as a military friendly school by G.I. Jobs magazine,” said Wilburn. “My goal is to augment our support and resources to military members by establishing a strong connection with soldiers and base commanders in the region in order to increase access to educational opportunities at Georgia Tech that support their current and future careers.”
